We were staying on campus for a conference and ended up having two meals at The Gallery. For what it is, a student-run campus pub, it is very good indeed. You order your food and drink at the bar (good beer line-up on tap!) get...the drinks and the food is brought to your table. We had at most a 10 minute wait for the food. We ate in the two meals a variety of food ranging from fish and chips to a curry bowl and found it all quite acceptable. The seating was comfortable, the noise level okay and we generally had a pretty decent time. Now this was after the regular university term so I don't know what it would be like filled with students but if you are there in the off-season certainly give it a try.
