This place is small and cozy---and even though there is no 'art' on the walls, it feels artful. They've even invented a roll (I think) which I can't find on their online menu, called a RedWood roll (I think that was the name). It had...crab, and a bit of a 'bite' with the spices (but not too hot), and it was also sweet. Not sure what else was in it, but we really liked it. We also had a seaweed salad (I think the seaweed was slightly pickled) which hit the spot. and the Seafood Udon had a very gentle broth----flavoured by some of the vegetables. Not fishy or salty at all. Great background music too, consisting of jazz that was both relaxing and full of substance----kind of like the restaurant. Delightful staff member, who I saw patiently assisting a physically challenged woman to get into her seat.
