Adapting quickly is chef’s Hakim Chajar bread and butter so we were not surprised he hopped on the fried chicken sandwich bandwagon. In a city abandoned by KFC, there is surely a place for fried chicken done right. I tried the Classic ($15) for this...first visit. While the chicken itself was of average crunch (Mitch Deli and Roch Le Coq have better crunch IMHO), what makes the sandwich glow is the pink sauce on top which really elevated the whole. Fries were very good too, although we prefer them more brownish (ie Montreal style). Very good and friendly service, I would come back mainly for that friendly welcome. Beautiful decoration inside. A little expensive for a chicken sandwich but overall we recommend a stop if you are in the area.
