I stopped in around noonish and since I had already eaten breakfast at my hotel I stopped just to see if it had re-opened as it was closed for awhile. Yep, it's re-opened but they no longer serve alcohol. No big deal as they're noted...for their breakfast menus. Place was sorta re-done, lots of breakfast menus and I've never had to wait there. Any breakfast with peameal bacon is great but I ordered a Ceasar Saling ad which was plentiful. A young girl served me and there appeared to be one other waitress busily taking orders and serving people. I was served quickly, the price was decent and the salad was great. The breakfast menu looked super. The place wasn't packed and it almost seemed roomier in there than in times past. Maybe they haven't stuck in as many tables and chairs. Parking is FREE in the front but it's "iffy" backing up onto Lakeshore. There's metered parking on the right side of the restaurant ( Mimico St. ) and I think it's a buck an hour which is worth it. They no longer stay open late like they use to. Hours are now 9am to 6pm daily, 7 days a week. You can turn ON to Mimico and park on the side ( It's a one way street heading sorta north. ) The front parking lot holds maybe 5-6 cars tops. That parking is free. The place is quaint, looks tiny from the pictures I've posted but is roomier inside. The former bar area still has the stools there but the alcohol is all gone. I'd assume you can sit at the bar area if things got hectic but I've NEVER had to wait and I've been going there since August of 1996. It's a very nice, affordable place to eat...noted for their breakfast menu. I highly suggest it!More
