Went on a Tuesday Evening. There were two other occupied tables. Initial server was new and had limited grasp of English however he was quickly replaced by an eloquent gentleman who was definitely a pro. We were seated in a poorly constructed banquette with very uncomfortable seats made out of shiny silver vinyl. It is a beautiful building but the Lighting was poor. I’ve been to several Michelin Starred Restaurants in the past. I suspect this guy earned one some time ago, but maintaining that Standard is a very big task. I don’t think the judges would award him one now. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good....but not worth a star. He definitely deserves full marks for plating presentation. But falls a little short in substance. The sommelier did a very good job with the pairing. The pours were a little shy. I suspect he is under the gun to get twenty glasses out of the bottle. Dinner for two (one contemporary and one traditional) , one glass of CDR and one wine pairing with a tip was almost 600. For the value....Ok... but not great.
