It was my son's birthday on 5/25 and The WORKS was his choice for a take-away dinner. The three of us made our choices and he went for the Wagu burger as something "special". I picked up our order, paid the $60+ bill and brought...our burgers home. My son didn't eat all of his burger but didn't say anything until his mom asked him today why had he thrown it out. Turns out that it had been heavily over-cooked, black on the outside and an ugly grey all through. He hadn't wanted to tell us yesterday because he didn't want us to be disappointed for The WORKS being his birthday choice. This is not how Wagu beef is meant to be cooked so my wife called them today. They agreed that this was not how Wagu beef should be cooked but blamed us for not calling yesterday. Their idea of "compensation" is a coupon for an order of free onion rings next time we order. To be sure, that's not going to happen!More
