We are always in search of authentic Malaysian food in Vancouver, beyond home cooking. We so happened to drive pass Shiok Singapore restaurant on Kingsway in the afternoon and decided to return in the evening to order takeout. We are so very happy that we...did because the food was absolutely authentic. When you have a 92 year old who says it good, it's GOOD!! The beef rendang was absolutely delicious, the Otak Otak was most amazingly infused with the subtle flavors of spices ith fish without it smelling fishy. Satay and satay sauce was soooo tasty and spicy. Mee Siam was sooo authentic!! Must return to try rest of the items. Ps, they do not use much plastics. Try the food and discover an ingenious way of serving the food for take out. Hint... nostalgia.
