Dropped by this restaurant yesterday for dinner as we were on Commercial Dr and fancied some Thai food. Heard there were two Thai places and came across this place first and decided to go in ( hungry and although there was a bit of a...wait, we did not want to risk walking to another restaurant and then have to repeat the wait again!) Any way after a short wait, we were seated ( this is a smaller establishment and does not have a liquor licence). We ordered the Chicken Satay ( found it a bit dry for our liking). Pad Thai with shrimp (Spicy), steamed rice, the Eggplant Basil (vegetarian), Jungle Curry with Beef (medium spicy)and Pad Kra Pao with Chicken (Spicy) and for dessert two of us tried the Fried Banana. We also tried the Thai Iced Coffee ( 50/50 split on whether it was good or not). Some of us felt the food needed more kick ( spiciness) but overall found it tasty and good. We did return one bowl of steamed rice as I think it was abit too dry/under cooked. Service was good, our server was able to answer some of our questions and was very willing to offer us another starter when pointed out that the chicken satay was a bit too dry for our liking. But we declined and it was taken off our bill. The place does get filled rather quickly and it was not too noisy. Definitely good tasting food and the prices were reasonable when compared to some of the other Thai places we have been to. Definitely will be back if we are in town and visiting Commercial Drive.
