Today, I stopped in to use the bathroom facilities, fully acknowledging the sign on the door, reading “for customer use only”. I proceeded to enter the venue with the willingness and intent of purchasing a slice of banana bread and a soda in order to...use the facilities as a “customer”. Without any other customers in the actual venue and the attendant sitting at a table (seemingly not working), I was then told that only customers who sit inside are able to use the washroom facilities. By dictionary definition, a customer is someone who purchases goods or services from an individual or business. I was not aware that this business in particular holds an alternative definition of what a customer is, and is not. Will not be speaking highly of this venue, nor recommend it to anyone in the future.
