this was the 2nd time i had visited lukaya cafe.. my friends like it very much. it is a small place that is apparently a great place for live music in the evening.Along one wall there is a small table with 2 armchairs. a piano,...and a small table with 2 chairs. Beside that ,in front of the window is a table for 4 and rounding out the group seating is a table that could seat 6 .there is a plank counter , a narrow aisle that leads to the bathroom then the order counter with some scones,cookies,tarts etc along with a coffee pour set-up. the first time i was early. i walked up to the bar to order glanced at the menu board and ordered a hot chocolate(made with milk yum)when my friends arrived and they walked up to the counter where my one friend proceeded to show the other cannisters of tea! With my back to them i never realized they were there.. the 2nd time there i had a pot of tea.,rooibos that was quite tasty. my only quibble is the narrow space where you order. It seems that regulars will pull up stools to the order bar have their drink and chat with the owner. i don t blame them i would do that too. but when my friends went to pay i stayed by the door til they were finished so they could get to the door while i went to pay.
