I have been here a few times but my last meal was disappointing. I was in Victoria at the end of a work trip and after walking downtown decided to give it a try. Because I was solo, I asked for a seat at the...bar. The restaurant wasn’t busy but it was early and when I eat solo I prefer to sit at the bar. I found the waiter a little patronizing that I was solo. I ordered the calamari which was really good as an appy. For a main I ordered the seafood hot pot which I had had in the past. I was a little disappointed in what I got. It seemed to be quite a bit smaller than I remembered and there was very little seafood in it; some small shrimp, one prawn and one scallop but no other seafood. Most of the filling seemed to be mushrooms. What was supposed to be a lobster based sauce tasted more like Campbells cream of tomato. Looking at the menu, it overall seems to have become more of a steakhouse with only half a page of the two page menu devoted to seafood.
