Two of us dropped in for a mid-evening (around 8 pm) meal. We sat at the sushi counter. There was no other customers. I had not been here in a couple of years and had memories of good meals. This won't be one of them....We told the sushi chef that we wanted some sushi and sashimi and said we would leave it up to him. We ordered a bottle of good saki and some miso soup and waited to see what he would make. I could see smoked eel, octopus, shrimp &c behind the counter. We got a standard tray with some tuna, some salmon, a couple of rolls. More tired than inspired. Nothing very interesting or all that tasty. I also did not think the fish had that zesty fresh taste (yes, I know that it is always flash- frozen) that good sashimi has. There is better to be had in NDG: Mizu Sushi and 5 Saisons (both on Sherbrooke St., west of Decarie) come to mind.
