These review is for their new location at the Vancouver House at Granville at Pacific , the W.4 location is excellent in food and services , I hear so much and read so many mixed reviews about this location , finally a great friend of...mine who live around the area she also love to try it out too ! ambiance is upscale high ceiling and lighting , airy , totally different then the W.4 Kitsilano location , menu almost same , but this place is pricy and over rated ! the concept is French with Vietnamese flair , NOT your average authentic Vietnamese Pho , very disappointing to say the Pho quality is very mediocre , over cook , (Too soft of my liking ) broth very oily tasteless , the beef is like few piece rubber , so tough , the Duck Rotisserie very dry and had very interesting tasted , unpalatable , where is the garnish , it should be high end approach , I love lamb chop , but minimum you have to order 4 chops ! too much for lunch , the only thing I like is the Escargot and the spring roll very nicely done , my truly personal opinion about these place , Hit and miss , is over price , over rated , staff need more training , special in P.R . , service well below high end restaurant service , but I understand the growing pains for new restaurants , my friend did not like one single item , I am happy to go back the W.4 location .
