I have to admit... I am of Chinese Canadian origins and I have never had bubble tea. Probably one of the few who can say this. Well, no longer. Had my first one at Chatime on West Blvd. The physical space is clean and inviting;...maybe a little antiseptic in feel. But the choices are infinitesimal. Smoothie or Tea? Sweet or not so sweet? More or less ice? The options are endless which is what makes it a true Taiwanese bubble tea place. Prices are typical for this product. I deducted 1 star for two reasons: the aforementioned antiseptic feel of the place and the overuse of plastic. Cups, straws, lids/wrap... all plastic. I feel in this age of conservationism a better, more environmentally conscious option should be considered. Otherwise, a pleasant stop for dessert.
