Musty smell on entry set the tone. Shown to the farthest corner, but the initial service was OK, and the beer good. We split a spinach salad, and enjoyed it, hoping that our first impression was wrong. I ordered Jaegerschnitzel, and my wife the Haxen...(port hock). The only good thing on my plate was the actual cutlet. The hunter sauce came in a small ramekin, not nearly enough to cover the meat. The sauerkraut tasted like last week, and the red cabbage was worse, almost tasteless.. The pork hock was over salted, and tasted like supermarket spiral cut ham. The service during the meal was non-existant. We'll look elsewhere for German food next time in Vancouver.
