I literally take every possible chance to visit Kinjo’s if I’m in or even passing by Calgary. I love that all the locations have the same standard and quality but with different atmosphere in each location. On this most recent visit, we hadn’t been in...a few month - for my husband over a year so I went a little crazy haha. We ordered volcano rolls, dynamite rolls, lobster roll, octopus sushi, scallop sushi (my absolute favorite), chicken yakitori, beef yakitori, giant squid legs, grilled scallops (again my favorite) teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef. Yes it was a ridiculous amount of food for two people but we had leftovers for dinner then lunch the next day and it was still delicious! The service was great our server was very friendly and our food came out very quickly. We did have an issue with one of our items, I let our server know and she was so kind. She was super apologetic (I told her no need it wasn’t her fault) but she took it off our bill. The on duty manager then came over and apologized again to which I gave him the same response, he took full responsibility for the issue and gave me a credit for the item free on our next visit as well. Super professional, very courteous, amazing food and so reasonably priced, all that food for under $100! I’ve never had a bad experience at any kinjo and I’ve been going since I lived in Calgary in 2011. It is so worth a visit if you like Japanese food even if you don’t like maki/sushi there are so many great options.
