I wouldn't know what qualifies as authentic Indian food even if it kicked me in the face despite having dined at nearly every Indian restaurant in Ontario but I do know that I love whatever random things my friend & I ordered at this restaurant...(Butter chicken, lamb coconut curry, Himalaya special platter bread basket, pulao rice & two Cheetah). We also tend to rely on safer mainstream choices with massive international appeal. Perhaps we'll be more adventurous next time. My friend & I have learned a hugely valuable lesson to visit well before closing even if the staff were remarkably kind regardless. The food takes quite a while to prepare & for good reason: The depth of flavours don't happen instantaneously & are well worth the wait. The staff took pity on us because we were soaked to the skin from the rain even if we were there only half an hour before closing. I wanted to try the very sought-after, vegetarian Kadhai paneer but this relentlessly carnivorous couple would have been much better off choosing the lamb or chicken offerings (which is exactly what we did). An overall delightful experience! Very highly recommended!More
