Staying at the Metropolitan Hotel, Diva at the Met is a convenient choice, and utterly delightful. First night was so delicious, the staff so welcoming and kind, the room and atmosphere so gentle and comforting, that I ate dinner here five nights in a row....Pear, fig, and gorgonzola salad was a sublime combination. Crab cake was crispy on the outside and tender within. Quite delicious. Diva is divine. Insightful and creative combinations and thoughtful service will make this a must dining stop whenever I'm in Vancouver. Do not miss the Stilton cheesecake for dessert - served with a rhubarb compote, and a crackly caramelized top, this manageable portion was a delightful finish. If you're not a fan of cheesecake, the spiced blueberry napoleon was equally superb. Outstanding and understated. Just lovely.
