We were in Winnipeg for thanksgiving weekend from out of town and were looking for a traditional style meal to celebrate with. I had spent some time early Sunday trying to find a place and this particular Aaltos was super accommodating and pleasant right from...the beginning. When we arrived for our reservation, we were greeted with wonderful hospitality and a waiting table amidst a ton of people already there eating and many many more waiting. It was unbelievably busy and yet every staff person was smiling and working like crazy. Our server was extremely proficient and friendly and even though this was buffet, she was quick with drink refills and checked in on us often regarding our food. The food was both traditional and well prepared. There was a good selection of dishes and all the staff serving hot foods were friendly and organized. I could not speak highly enough about the entire experience. I did relay praise on the manager (very nice lady in a red jacket) who was extremely busy herself the entire time we were there ensuring guests were happy and bussing tables also. There was no one working there that wasn’t hustling the entire time and with friendly smiles! It was a pleasure.
