Went in for a birthday meal, spent $97 (and the cheque was dropped of just as I took my last bite), and then the waitress comes up and asks us how long we are going to be. I was confused and pointed to the drinks...in front of us... she said “well, there’s a waitlist downstairs” and just looked at me like we needed to move. I then hear the hostess saying loudly that there’s a party of 5 waiting (we were at a bigger table) - 1) Why sit us at a table that we can’t enjoy properly? 2) The second we tipped our waitresses (22%!!) she switched her demeanour and just wanted us out of there so she could get more customers in. It was a horrible feeling when we had just ordered some drinks! 3) What a terrible end to my birthday.. no thank you, LOCAL LEASIDE. We had to down our drinks (and didn’t finish) because it was so uncomfortable - not worth $97!!More
