Extremely disappointed with a recent visit, especially since I'd heard good reports on the food etc. However, no one approached us to seat us for 20mins past our booking time and didn't even come to explain the delay to the queue waiting. Seemed crazy that...all people for the later sitting were sat at the same time rather than as previous tables departed. So strange. Many customers were older and therefore standing and waiting around unnecessarily is not acceptable. Having worked in hospitality for a long time, I know this creates craziness for the kitchen to keep on top of orders since most people would therefore be ordering at similar times since they've been sat at the same time. Didn't seem that there were enough staff on shift to cope with the numbers of patrons. Having been sat late, we waited and waited for someone to take a drinks order. After waiting another 10mins we left out of frustration. That is something I've never done but the whole experience was a shambles. Food did look good from what I could see and the décor etc is very warm and cosy. Lots of people recommending food on the way out so i would like to have at least tried the food to give a more rounded review! Great patio area outside. I'm hoping it was just a bad day and that i'll give the place another try in the future. Better planning and organization would work wonders.
