I’ve been to the Beatty location once before, but this was my first visit to the Kits location. I enjoyed this visit much more. Since it was a Monday morning, the place was only half full at 9am. It probably didn’t get full until closer...to 10am. I tried the following: - Chicken and Waffles - Good and bad. Chicken was great. Juicy and well seasoned. Sausage gravy is very good too, but they don’t provide enough (similar problem during my last visit too). Eggs were OK, and waffle very soggy. - Daily feature hot chocolate waffle - Great for those with a sweet tooth. Very similar to the smores waffle but instead of graham crackers, they give a salted caramel sauce. Pretty good if you like a sweet breakfast. - Green Eggs and Ham - Good. Pesto in the eggs is quite mild, which I think is a good thing. Hash browns and biscuit are good too. Ham was OK. Service was down-to-earth friendly and efficient. I liked that when it’s not as busy (like the weekends) the atmosphere seems much more relaxed. Street parking is $4/hr during the day. Overall, a much better visit than my last one to the downtown location. Food is good and service is nice and relaxed on the weekdays. I would rate this visit 3.5 overall. I don’t necessarily think lining up during the weekends is worth it though - the food isn’t that good.
