I went to Dessert Cafe MOMO on St. Patrick's day to enjoy the bingsoo, despite the cold. It was soooo lovely. The dessert consisted of condensed milk flavoured shaved ice that was light as snow. The matcha added the perfect amount of bitterness and the...rice balls were a little sweet - like chewy marshmallows. It beats the shaved ice desserts in Ottawa hands down. Arguably, because the ice is flavoured and you can portion the amount of matcha (which is layered into the dessert) you have in each bite, it beats out some of the shaved ice I had in Japan (which used matcha syrup and had spots of unflavoured ice). The owners seem like lovely people. I plan on dropping in for every trip we make to Montreal, whether it is winter or summer!More
