Just for some background, my parents were both born in Argentina, and my whole family still lives there, I've been there numerous times too, so I've tasted authentic Argentine food. We went here on Saturday to celebrate my husbands birthday, we had reservations for 7pm....When we got there we were greeted promptly and shown to our table. The decor is very nice, place is dark, intimate, and cozy. Our waiter (who was from Mexico, sorry I forget his name, but gracias por todo) came very quickly to take our drink orders. They serve fresh water or sparkling (which I love). We ordered the empanadas, and chori pan as appetizers. I found both extremely yummy and they tasted authentic and homemade, their take on the chori pan was exquisite I love the flavor it packed. I have to say as well for being so busy our food came out in no time! For our entrees we both went with the entrana (10 oz steak imported from Argentina) It was served with roasted beets, an arugula salad and a garlic mash. The plate itself was large and packed with food, we did not leave hungry. The flavours of the meat with the chimi and the beets were soooo good! I truly enjoyed my meal and felt as though I was having an asado with some family. Dessert had one option which I don't mind because how can you go wrong with pancake con dulce de leche, we shared one and took one to go. Great job AMA, will most definitely be back next time we're in Toronto.
