Not knowing Calgary at all, we drove around the restaurant areas looking for a place to have dinner. Not interested in fine dining, we finally decided upon Side Street Pub and Grill, as it looked welcoming and the menu was varied. The restaurant’s name gave...us a good idea about what type of food might be offered. Our group of four chose to sit outside in the outdoor dining area. We were able to relax here and watch some of the activity around us. We sampled a number of items on the menu and were pleased with all selections. Draught beer and house wine were good, food good, and service was very good, even though this establishment was quite busy. We were very comfortable here and felt that we had made a good restaurant choice in a city that was totally new to us.
