I arrived on a rainy day in May. Being that I use a power wheelchair, it was no mean feat. I had to wait in the pouring rain while one of the members of my party walked from the rear of the restaurant to the...front door to open it so that I could get indoors out of the weather. Not Happy to begin with, and left wondering why there was not a staff member to allow me entry? More on that later... I ordered an entree that arrived lukewarm and was for the most part tasteless. Very disappointing. indeed. My party also experienced similar issues with the fare at out lunch meeting. Rating from me? A big MEH. Meaning if you can't get anywhere else to eat, maybe BP is the place for you. I'm done with it, this location at very least. Follow up to being left out in the rain: I contacted BP head office via email who eventually responded to my concern a week later re: entry. The manager replied and apologized for not having staff available to allow me entry at the Hillside location, a very wan and lukewarm response at that. Included in my letter was an enquiry as to the reason that a big chain restaurant like BP did not have an automated door opener for folks like me, or folks with children, or seniors etc. Not much of a coherent response I'm afraid, just platitudes and drivel. I don't think I'll be needing pizza that bad... ever again. Big fail BP Hillside.
