We picked up a takeout order, packed up in a knotted plastic bag, and wanted to get the food home quickly so it would stay hot. When we got home half of one order was missing, so we called for a refund of just those...two things. The manager said it was OUR fault for not checking, that he'd do nothing about it, and that we had to "takae it up with the corporate office." My husband has terminal cancer; this mean was meant to be a really special treat, a one-time break from his chemo diet, where he could have anything he wanted. It was ruined not necessarily by the mistake, which is just human, but by this HORRIBLE treatment of blaming and shaming us, and telling us to go away. (The manager even said, when I pointed out we'd ordered through "your website," meaning not SkiptheDishes or anything, "it's not MY website it's the company's!!" What's the point of trying to make us feel stupid? My husband was already overwhelmed and on the verge of tears.)More
