I made a reservation here a few nights in advance to take my boyfriend out during our weekend away in Montreal. Highlight of our weekend! Make a reservation though as this place is very popular but very tiny (adds to the charm and allows the...staff to pay close attention to your meal). Located a 10-15 min taxi/Uber ride from downtown in a seemingly residential area. Hole in the wall but a must visit restaurant. Thomas, our waiter, suggested we try the tasting menu (I believe around $80/person for soup/salad, 3 app., palate cleanser, main, desert). This allowed us to try 13 different plates together. We began with the choice of soup or salad so we got one of each (beet carpaccio, butternut squash soup) then we shared all 6 of the appetizers (salmon cooked 2 ways, bison tartare, scallop carpaccio, frois gras marinated in maple syrup whiskey, a fried ball stuffed with frois gras, goat cheese ravioli), then the palate cleanser (blueberry sherbet with rosemary and thyme with a shot of vodka), then we had the choice of two mains (“chocolate” veal and seafood/salmon risotto) and desert (apple tartine and chocolate dish). Everything was timed well, the next dish being brought out a respectful moment after you finished each one. Everything was melt in your mouth, amazing. The menu was in French but Thomas and the owner Shane were very attentive and explained all the dishes to us. The restaurant is BYOB so we brought two bottles of wine to nurse with our dinner. Never felt rushed in our 2.5 hours there and Shane and Thomas were very kind to us on our romantic night out. Will have to come again!More
