This was my first time at the Bute location. The location on Denman seems more friendly. Four of us had dinner, ordered a pitcher of beer. Had to flag down a server to get enough frosted mugs. Had to flag a sever down again to...order, this continued through the dinner. In some way, it is typical Korean, you call out when you need something. So don't be shy. We ordered Spicy Seoul noodle which is similar to instant noodle but with fresh noodle and seasoning, miso stew and gamjatang which is a stew consisting of potatoes and pork neck. You pick the flesh off the bones and it very tasty. They don't serve complimentary side dishes as most Korean restaurants do, we have to order some for $4. The portions were small but I think we did get a refill. We needed more food so we ordered the Duck Confit Poutine with kimchi. Very tasty but you really can't find any bits of duck other than taste it in the sauce. Overall good food, but the charging for side dishes and the servers running around without looking to see we needed anything was a bit of a disappointment.
