Vancouver has Sophie's Cosmic Cafe. Calgary has Nelly's. Winnipeg has Stella's. We are in Winnipeg visiting our daughter who is studying at U. Winnipeg and we wanted a good breakfast. Stella's was walking distance from her residence but we had heard so many great things...about this place from so many people that I was looking forward to checking it out. The place was lined up out the door but the staff were friendly and we did not have to wait too long for a table. The servers were all friendly and their presence was enjoyable. They were all in constant motion as they were all working hard, and with smiles on their faces. The food was everything we hoped it could be. I had the Mexican breakfast, my wife had a Veggie Omelet and daughter Egg Salad sandwich. they had a large menu that included lunch and dinner type options too. It is a large varied menu with fresh ingredients and food that can satisfy anyone, even Vegan's! We will be visiting Winnipeg regularly over the next few years and this will be a regular stop for us.
