We go to the BAnQ several times a month and sometimes we eat in restaurants on St. Denis. For the most part...those lunches have been quite expensive and nothing special...fajitas or pasta/pizza. Recently we tried Le Parva Cafe and we loved it. They have soups,...sandwiches and salads. The soup of the day was a puree of cauliflower and carrot with ginger. I had a wonderful roll with cheese baked into it ...this was a pork sandwich. My husband had a sandwich on a roll made from beets and it was filled with shrimp and salmon. Excellent. They have salads like carrot or cabbage or quinoa etc. There is a table d'hote option as well if you would like some fish and risotto etc... There are many types of cakes, squares and pastries. Very well made....the banana cake seemed to be made with buckwheat flour. Great texture and flavor. Date squares are great. Nice coffees. We had lunch including desserts and coffee for about 33$. When we eat on St. Denis the bill can be 50$+. The only thing I did not like is that the paper napkins are black....not too environmentally friendly...I would prefer white ones and larger ones.
