My mother and I were in Montreal to see President Obama at the Bell Centre plus to do a bit of shopping and sightseeing, Obama was on her bucket list and it was also to celebrate my 50th birthday. Stayed at Best Western 2 nights....Enjoyed 1st night at Addies so much we went back the 2nd night. Food was good- tried French onion soup, chicken & waffle appetizer, poutine and wings plus had cake both nights. Atmosphere ok but nothing special. Sonia who looked after us is incredible though. She helped recommend what to try for food and even for a cocktail for me. When we went back second night, not only did she remember another specific cocktail we talked about (but hadn’t yet had) the night before that she thought I might like, but she remembered my mother wanted coffee and that tomorrow was my birthday. She was genuine and friendly and warmly welcomed us. I sure hope the owners see this and recognize what a gem they have in Sonia. You should do whatever possible to ensure you hang on to her. Don’t let her go! I guarantee she is a big reason people are return guests. And Sonia, if you read this sometime...please know that it was not unnoticed what a fabulous job you do. Rare gem these days. Thanks for helping make our trip to Montreal so memorable. Hope to see you again. Cheers!More
