When I heard our group was going to Lord Byron "steak house" I was excited to have a great steak. I ordered the 12 oz Rib Eye, my favourite steak, and asked that it be cooked Medium Rare. Medium rare should be reddish/pink inside. I...also ordered what was listed on the menu as a side dish of sautéed mushrooms. When my meal was delivered the steak was covered in a mushroom sauce and it was cooked more like medium well. There was no pink inside and was not very tender. This is not your run of the mill chain restaurant, and is actually named a "steak house", which to me would indicate they specialize in steaks! I was there with a group and did not want to make a scene, but definitely felt disappointed with my over priced $50 steak. My expectation of having a great steak was quickly deflated. Won't be returning.
