I have been to Olympia Pizza in Kitsilano on Broadway about 2 months ago and it was very good but last Saturday it was a huge disappointment. I realize Covid has hit restaurants hard so I am not happy about writing a bad review but...Covid has hit consumers hard too, so to go out for dinner is a real treat and we expect good food and service. That was not the case on Saturday. Our first problem we encountered was my friend took a drink of water and ended up with a mouthful of lipstick from a dirty glass Yuck!! My dinner of keftedes was comparable to hockey pucks with cold dried rice and potatoe, my partner ordered the prawn souvlaki and it was pretty much the same cold and dry, my friend ordered greek salad which everyone agreed was decent but she also ordered the Dolmades which was swimming in a cold salty corn starch bath, Un edible. The Saganaki was put on a very hot frying pan but the cheese was not sizzling and was luke warm The last dinner which he had to wait 20 mins after we all received our dinners was Beef souvlaki cold and dried out. We should have sent it all back but we waited so long to get our dinners and to put them in the microwave is not my idea of a good restaurant quality dinner, Our group of four will not be going back. I realize they have been around the neighborhood for a very long time but that night was not worth our time nor our money, There is no excuse as the restaurant seating has been cut back should have been way better service and food,More
