My wife is Peruvian and we make a point of searching out Peruvian restaurants when visiting big cities. This one paid off. It had just started to rain when we found this place and were welcomed in by friendly multi-lingual waiter/manager Claude. We were -...amazingly - alone in the place. After noon, the pisco sours (excellent) were 2 for 1. The menu was just what we hoped for. I had an empanada de carne for entrada, and my wife ordered papas a la huancaína - both excellent. Then we shared a hearty bowl of arroz con mariscos - seasoned perfectly to recall coastal Peru. There is a dessert menu but we passed, already more than satisfied and very content. The high quality of the food and service mean we'll return to this place whenever we get back to Montreal. Shocking that there were no other Sunday diners there with us. Really excellent dining experience. And the rain was gone by the time we finished!More
