We went to The Mar for our anniversary dinner. Very nice service and friendly staff. I ordered the special menu that was all of Alberta local produce. And it was vegetarian! Wow, so flavourful, beautiful display and delicious! We ordered the fries and an appetizer,...you get a lot of fries and it comes with a creamy dill dip. My first course was a tomato base with crackers, greens, cheese, peppers, basil and cucumber. Amazing! Main course was grilled veggies, zucchini and cheese deep-fried to crispy perfection and beets all on a sweet puree. Didn't have room for dessert, but would have loved to try the donuts for chocolate cake. We had a wonderful dinner here, and would recommend it over and over again. Looking forward to our next visit.
