Visited in the early afternoon on a weekend. The place was maybe half full, with plenty of empty tables. The server guided me to the sushi bar, but I asked her if I could sit at one of the small tables instead. After an awkward...moment, she insisted that I sit at the bar. It was off-putting and hard to understand why, as her English wasn't very good. The restaurant remained half empty throughout my meal, so I wasn't sure about their hesitation. Despite the rocky start, the food itself was terrific. The nigiri was nice and fresh, and I liked their little custom sear and brand of the tamago, which I've never seen before. The rolls were creative and delicious, and overall I left quite satisfied. I'm willing to overlook the odd snafu with the seating for sushi this tasty.
