I have been to the Hydra a few times, even during the quiet times of Covid. I booked for a 6.15 pm reservation on Sunday evening, for my birthday dinner with some friends. On seating, we were all told in no uncertain terms, we had...to be out by 8.30pm as the table was reserved......ok!! Found that odd, but...whatever. The restaurant was busy but not packed and they were empty tables around. We finished dinner and the server brought us the desert menu.....i told her we had to be out by 8,30pm, it was now 8,25pm and could we have the bill. She looked bemused....i told her that the person that sat us told us that we had to be out by 8.30 pm.....she checked and confirmed that the table was not booked and never was booked!! We downed our dinner pronto which we did not have to do.......we could have had a relaxed dinner instead...... Another issue is that my partner ask for Moet champagne and was told that they were out.....she got a different cheaper brand. However when the bill came there was $24.00 for Moet champagne!! We questioned it and the server apologized Food is great but the service has gone to the dogs......Hydra is now off my personal and corporate list of places to eat. Pity. Its a great location and the food is pretty good.
