On the recommendation of a tour guide, we checked out several restaurants on Denman Street and chose this one based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed! My husband ordered the "regular" Bi Bim Bop. The portion was huge with lots of meat and vegetables....I ordered the "stone pot" version which was equally delicious. Even though we were both pretty hungry we could barely finish our plates. The meal came with the usual Korean "small plates" of kimchi, potatoes, and two kinds of salad. A few tips for future patrons: the staff basically waits for you to indicate that you're ready to order, so don't hesitate to flag them down when you've made your choices. Also, be prepared to eat with chopsticks as that is the primary utensil provided. We were in Vancouver for a short visit, and this was definitely a "foodie" highlight. If we ever get back there, we will include MDG in our dining plans.
