If you want a good selection of beers then this is a great place...they have a great beer menu and if you ask, you can even get a taste of some to help you choose which one to get. Just go up to the bar...and ask, or ask your waitress for a tasting before placing your order. So this place gets 5 stars for the beer. But the food left a lot to be desired! The menu isn’t long...a few $10 options and 3 more expensive ones. We were hoping for fries and a burger but this pub doesn’t serve either one...unbelievable for a pub! So we ordered the $10 pizza, the $10 donair, and the $19 lobster roll, recommended to us by the waitress. The pizza was okay, not bad but nothing to rave about. The donair was the best option but was accompanied with a handful of potato chips...so kind of expensive for $10. The lobster roll was the biggest disappoint! It was a toasted hot dog bun covered with a rather tasteless lobster mix and again, accompanied by a handful of very ordinary potato chips. Everyone agreed it was not very good for $19. The waitress did offer a free dessert to make up for the lobster roll, which was a very nice gesture, but we declined the offer. There at tons of really good restaurants in Gastown and although the beer is good, the food is really quite ordinary and I would not recommend it as a place to eat.
