I was afraid of over-hyping our experience, so I waited (perhaps a bit too long!) to write this review. We went the first weekend of February, and to give some perspective, it was our first time in Vancouver (we're from New York). We were wandering...around Gastown before a 10 PM dinner reservation, and we were hoping to find a bar with a bit of character that wasn't full of tourists. Luckily we happened to be looking up where to go right as they opened the gate for Guilt & Co. There's a cover for the bands/artists for the evening, and the line does get pretty long as early as 9:30 PM. Since we arrived right at 7 PM, we had a wonderful experience at the bar and got to have Rob all to ourselves for almost the first two hours. Rob is absolutely fantastic, incredibly passionate and creative, and was also happy to explain anything we had questions about. I started with his drink, The Flying Pirate, and nothing could really compare after that! The atmosphere was also great, but it really started to get packed closer to 10 PM. I wish we could have been able to make it back for the live music after dinner, but we definitely will be back this winter!More
