I was solo parenting over the weekend and the stuff I was defrosting was still half frozen...stupid chicken. So, I dragged my kids from the house and took them to Ookini, which is close to home and somewhere I wanted to try. The restaurant is...on the small side, seating perhaps two dozen people. Our hostess/waitress was pleasant and polite, and kept our water glasses full. We were the first four top to be seated for the evening, so our bowls came out fairly quickly. My children had the miso ramen, and I had the tonkotsu ramen. The noodles were decent, the broth tasty and not overly salty. Definitely worth a try if you want to stay south of the Bow for ramen instead of fighting traffic and going to one of the higher ranked restaurants. Will go again and try more!More
