I recently spent a week in Vancouver having moved to the Fraser Valley 25 years ago. The last time I was in the Ovaltine was in 1981 as I used to work for the Vancouver Police Department and always wanted to return for a meal....It was my home away from home where I had breakfast lunch and dinner working shift work. It was a very nostalgic return for me and the food was just as good as what I remembered. I had the all day breakfast which was only $5.99 and the service was fast and it was piping hot. I chatted with the current owner who was so friendly and even brought me out the old menu that I had ordered from 35 years ago as she now has a new menu. I know the average person wouldn't set foot in this place as it is in a seedy area of Vancouver but for me it was such a great return and a wonderful finale to my week in Vancouver! I know it won't be 35 years till I return again!More
