Our friend said we needed to try this place and so, we did. And we were most pleased with our experience. And we were happy to support a local business. This is a true neighborhood gem in the far south of Edmonton that serves authentic...Taiwanese cuisine - a welcome diversion from the Asian fare we had been used to enjoying. The place is small and cozy, full of light, and pleasantly furnished. Our server was very attentive and very pleasant and took the time to explain the menu. Moreover, we could tell they were very proud of their product. And they deserve to be. The food is delectably seasoned - tasty flavors and unique combinations of spices and herbs. And the presentation was picture-worthy. We tried the traditional Taiwanese grilled pork belly with pickled cucumber on the perfectly steamed rice, accompanied by deep-fried Taiwanese wontons, steamed broccoli seasoned with their home-made mayonnaise, a dried radish relish, and more vegetables - so yummy! We also tried their beef noodle soup (tasty!) along with a sample of their popcorn chicken (a full order is on our list for next time). And then we ordered the 'bau' - a steamed bun sandwich so full of flavor, you couldn't put it down - marinated pork, pickled veggies, and a fried egg! A great taste experience and one we will order again. Yes, we will be back for more tasty morsels at this great dining place. Highly recommended!!More
