We celebrated my mother's birthday at North with a party of 9. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, attempting to evoke rustic villages in the "North" of Iran! Kudos to Sajdeh and Tannaz, our two highly professional and very welcoming waitresses, who really went out...of their way to make our celebration a special one! The food was good, particularly the "Kebab Torsh" (a skewer of grilled beef filet covered in a delectable sweet/sour pomegranate and ground walnut sauce, served with rice). I think the music could have been a bit more lively, but once requested, great Persian tunes where played. There was a surprise surcharge of $15.00 for the birthday cake I brought, of which I was not made aware at the time of reserving my table; the post-dinner Persian tea/chai was also not at the pipping hot level and taste expected. Overall, we had an enjoyable time! If you are looking to book a charming private room, I recommend the "Masouleh" room, located in the back of the restaurant. Thanks, North Restaurant!More
