My wife and I came in from Langley for Saturday night. We were attending the Zoomer Show, stayed at Marriott Pinnacle Hotel and decided to do dinner at the Opera Buffet at Oceans 999 in the Pan Pacific Hotel. We went to this buffet many...times prior to this visit. It has been about 14 years since we last went. Used to be on Friday and Saturday evenings. Now, just Saturdays. We always enjoyed these evenings, both for the food, ambiance and, of course the Opera singers. As we wanted to stay the night in Vancouver to combine the Zoomer Show, and dinner, we decided to re-visit the past and do Oceans 999. Another couple came with us, they never been to the Opera Buffet. We have been Pan Pacific Hotel clients since it opened and this place is always dear to our hearts. Our decision to have dinner at the Opera Buffet was the right decision for all four of us. The food, as always was exceptional, with a wonderful selection of hot plates and cold. The fresh made pasta to order options were delicious. Overeating at these buffets is total collateral damage. Beware! I dare you to not overeat if you attend. So many delicious choices, right down to the desserts. To compliment this fabulous over eating extravaganza is the Opera singers. There were two, a male and female with an accompanying pianist. The singers performed solo and together, with some solo pianist performances, as well. All three were entertaining and a very unique evening for dinner and entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, as we have in the past. Our first time friends loved the dinner and entertainment, as well. And they will definitely do such an evening again. I highly recommend the Oceans 999 Opera Buffet for a unique dining experience at the Pan Pacific Hotel. I will not wait another 14 years to come back and do this again.
