Our reservation was made in advance by our hotel concierge before arriving in Vancouver. The highly anticipated cuisine never arrived. After two appetizers and watching the unlively fish in the tank for about an hour, we asked for our food and our waitress. We were...told that she was now in the kitchen but not in the cooking role. When asked about our main entrées, the male servers just looked at us a while and said that they’d be coming. All around us, food was served to customers who were obviously of Chinese descent and who arrived after us. Finally, we asked for our check for the appetizers and glasses of wine and suddenly one of our dishes appeared. We left without our dinner and the head waiter just waved us off without having to pay. This was quite a unique experience for all of us there who have travelled around the world and known étiquettes and cultures of different countries. We were properly dressed for dinner and always polite.
