It seems like all I ever do is make negative reviews. I have written some positive reviews but I guess I’m just more likely do make the effort when the experience isn’t positive. I’ve eaten many meals at joeys eau Claire and they’ve been mostly...very good. I have only run into one dud server there. I haven’t been back since the covid outbreak. A few months ago we went to joeys Barlow as I’d had a gift card. Service was very good that time and the food was yummy. Today I think I’ve met the stupidest server I’ve ever met. First she asked us if we wanted to keep the menu on the table after we ordered. The table is small. Why would you do this? I ordered the California chicken sandwich and my sister salmon. It seemed to take a long time. I had to ask for a water refill. I also asked for another napkin because I’m sloppy. That was beyond her scope. I asked twice. Finally I said to her should I take one off a nearby table? After that it took another couple minutes. Food was very good but not very hot. When we got the bill she overcharged me $3. Not much but why should I pay it? Then she tried to tell me that’s the price. No it’s not. They wouldn’t show me the menu but I looked it up online and I was correct. She had to get someone to help her correct it and she seemed annoyed that I would ask. My waitress told me she doesn’t set the prices. For the first time in my life I gave zero for a tip. I guess it’s true restaurants are having a hard time hiring staff. It’s clear she came from the bottom of the barrel.
