This is the second time I have had dinner at Kitaya so I should share my experience. This restaurant is very small and understated, but the food is excellent and the service great with an authentic Japanese touch. The sashimi was particularly good; it was...very good quality and the slices of tuna and salmon were so large and thick, and delicious! The selection of sushi was also very good, and expertly prepared. I have food allergies so ingredient knowledge by my server is very important, and both times (with different servers) I felt confident that I was being looked after in that regard. My only negative comment to make is the absence of gluten-free soya sauce. For such a great little restaurant this would be such an easy fix. I will certainly eat here again, but I will bring my own next time and maybe they will get the hint. I should also say that the food is an excellent value - easy on the pocket-book.
