I wish I lived closer then the 40 minute drive, or see I’d be here at least once a week. Hailing from Texas, having lived in California, and after spending quite some time in Mexico, I’m not an expert, but have a varied palate for...Mexican food. This is completely authentic, and definitely not the Tex-Mex I grew up with, so if thats what you’re looking for, this is full-fledged Mexican food...and it is incredible. The food is so good, we had Mr. Azteca cater our daughter’s first birthday. The salsa, especially the red salsa, is delicious. Tacos are fantastic and my personal favorite is the barbacoa. If you can get it on the weekend, do not miss the tamales. Lastly, the owners, a husband and wife team, are so incredibly nice and hospitable. If you’re in Montreal and want authentic Mexican food, this is it.
